1997 FORD / STIMOROL Danish Open

Vejle Golf Club, June 6. - 8th. 1997.

In keeping with previous Danish Opens, the 1997 Ford/Stimorol Danish Open boasts a tremendous variety of entertainment both on and off the golf course.

Action on the course will commence with the Danish Open Pro-Am. This year the amateurs will compete over 36 holes, 18 holes at Vejle Golf Club and 18 holes at Royal Oak. Professionals will accompany the amateurs on Wednesday 4th June with 48 teams of 2 amateurs and 1 professional competing at Royal Oak.
Entry to the Pro-Am at both venues is free and will be an opportunity to see the talented professionals in a relaxed frame of mind as they make their final preparations for the Danish Open.
The Pro-Am will be followed by the Gala Dinner at Vejle´s magnificent 5 star Hotel/Casino resort, Munkebjerg Hotel.

The traditional Casino Munkebjerg Skins Game will be held on Thursday 5th June with record prizemoney of DKK 40,000 (approx. 4,000 pounds) for the 9 hole match.
We are delighted to confirm that World No. 1, Laura Davies, will be competing in the Skins Game and it will be Laura's first visit to Vejle. Danish star Karina Ørum will compete alongside Laura together with defending Danish Open titleholder, Nadene Cole. The fourth player in the Skins Game will soon be confirmed.
The match will commence at 16.00, entry again is free.
A barbeque, open to the Public will follow the Skins Game.
